Introduction GrowMondo

Hi there. I'm Joshua (Josh) Kennedy, I have built several moderately successful businesses, I moved from the rainy Netherlands to living in a villa on the sunny French Riviera, I’m married to the love of my life (we’re together since 2011) and we have two beautiful boys.

BUT this ain’t a fairy tale. And before you think that I have it all figured out and got where I am today without any resistance. Guess again.

I lost my autistic younger brother when he was only 27, I was kicked off five different high schools, dropped out of college, couldn’t keep a simple job for longer than a few months before running into ‘problems with authority’, bought a Lamborghini when I was 24 (that was actually fun though), lost everything a year later and almost went to prison over a business deal going wrong, I was always stressed and mostly angry at everything (government, the banking system, people in traffic, teachers, you name it).

Oh and I have this annoying twitching tic with my eyes that I can’t stop.

I have also been told many times how I should just learn to keep my mouth shut for once and do as everyone else. I refused.

Spoiler, this is only the tip of my iceberg.

What’s funny though is that when you do actually achieve something, the same people suddenly say ‘I have always believed in you’ or ‘I always knew you would land on your feet’. And others might even start looking up to your achievements.

My life became significantly easier once I started accepting that everything is a consequence of my own actions, and I began focusing on the things I can control.

You only have one life and death is guaranteed.

So, I started doing things even more ‘my way’.

What I designed for myself is a lifestyle I absolutely love, living in a beautiful part of the world, surrounding myself with highly successful people that inspire me, reading amazing books, chasing exciting ideas, and constantly acquiring and refining new skills and knowledge.

Recently (Luke in 2022 and Jake in 2024), parenthood have completely changed our lives, it gave me a completely new understanding about how limited time is, but also made me rethink and reflect on lots of things.

Including on how I want to be remembered, and what kind of person and example I want to be for my children.

In 2019, one year after moving to the French Riviera and having no friends here, I started organising casual meetups with my wife and brought together the international community that was already here.

Since the start of Business Club Côte d’Azur we have literally met and helped thousands of people make new friends and build their professional network.

Not going to lie, I have never worked for anything as hard and earning this little but it feels AMAZING!

This is when I had my a-ha moment and realised that I never did anything, up until this moment, to unconditionally (important detail!) help others and that is what I unconsciously hated or disliked most about my life.

Therefore I want to do more for others without wanting anything in return.

And there is one thing that I absolutely love and literally can’t stop talking about because it changed my life around and enabled me to do everything I want.

It’s building and growing a (successful) business.

That’s why today (12 February 2025 at 6am) I registered this domain ‘Growmondo.com’ and launched my newsletter dedicated to helping the misfits of society channel their energy into building a business and life you love.
